Safety Protocol At VAM

We take our VAMily’s safety and health seriously. If you choose to take a course or visit the gallery at VAM, here is what you can expect:

Under the Ontario government businesses and organizations are able to choose to implement regulations related to masking. Ontario further recommends to wear a mask in public indoor settings when physical distancing and keeping two-metres apart from others may be challenging or not possible.

Visual Arts Mississauga will maintain our mask policy for our Summer session beginning July 4th through to August 26th, 2022 for all indoor courses including VAM Kids summer camp. Masks must be worn while inside our studios or visiting our exhibitions. During camp, masks may be removed during lunch, recess breaks and all outdoor activities and all camp supplies will be sanitized after use.

There will be increased sanitizing of shared equipment, and high touch surfaces and Neutra-Lyze fogging of our studios. We will maintain smaller camp groups and adhere to strict guidelines for campers showing any signs of sickness with daily health checks, and our drop off/pick up for parents will minimize contact.

General building protocol:

  • Hand sanitizer stations will be situated in each studio and in the hallway.
  • For students taking morning and afternoon classes, food can only be eaten outside the building, not in the hallway.
  • The City of Mississauga will clean the washroom area throughout the day.

Until further notice all students and staff must wear a face mask that securely covers the nose, mouth and chin as required while in the building. There are no exceptions. We have masks available if you forget yours.
