Registrations: Spots are limited to maintain our studio capacities. We can have 8 students in MacEwan, 10 in White and 20 in Blue/Green. Each person must register ie: Mom and child = 2 spots. Participants must register in advance, and can register for as many workshops as they wish. Register by emailing info@ or calling the office.
Age requirements: Children 6+ plus teens/adults
COVID Safety Precautions: All participants 13 years + must show proof of double vaccination with ID upon arrival at VAM. Each participant 6 years + must complete a COVID Daily Screening day of workshop and show results upon arrival at VAM. All participants must wear a mask.
Description: You are invited to Make Art at VAM on Saturday November 13th with FREE arts programming for Families! Join our talented Artist Instructors and get creative with clay, mixed media sculptures and printmaking. Register for 1, 2 or all 3 workshops to make a creative day at VAM. All materials are included.
Workshop Descriptions & Schedule:
Ceramic Ornaments with Bhavna Bhatnagar
Get messy with clay and learn how to create winter-themed ornaments! Ornaments will be glazed and fired after the workshop. All students will be contacted when they are ready for pick-up. (8 spots per workshop)

Food for Thought with PUFF Paddy
Join our Guest Artist to create your favourite dishes out of arts & crafts materials! In this workshop you & your family will have an opportunity to share your cultural identity, personal stories & passion for cuisine while exploring your creativity. All artwork created in this workshop will be on special exhibition at VAM on November 20th – 21st.
*We encourage participants to bring recycled materials such as newspapers, magazines, egg cartons, paper toilet rolls, paper towel tubes, plastic containers, cereal boxes and anything they wish to create your dish. (20 spots per workshop)

DIY Workshop: Printed Wrapping Paper with VAM Artist Instructors
Design your own handmade wrapping paper to use this holiday season. Participants will learn the basics of printmaking and make their own stamps to custom print a sheet of wrapping paper. Art is messy – Please wear an apron or paint t-shirt to protect your clothing. (10 spots per workshop)

Meet our current group of VAM’s Creative Resident Artists and view their artwork on display. Registered participants will have the opportunity to Meet & Greet with this dynamic group of local Artists.
