Teen Volunteers

Are you interested in a career in the visual arts or education field? Are you looking to add to your resume, complete your community service hours, gain valuable work experience, give back to your community and have a lot of fun in the process? Visual Arts Mississauga may have the perfect volunteer opportunity waiting for you!

Visual Arts Mississauga (VAM) is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing high quality art lessons to students of all ages. VAM offers a well-organized, rewarding volunteer program throughout the year.
During the summer months and March break, volunteers have the opportunity to complete a full week (40hrs) and gain hands-on experience in leadership, working with children, art studio set-up, classroom management, art material handling, drawing, painting, printmaking and sculpture techniques. VAM also offers a number of weekend volunteer opportunities throughout the year for students.
Volunteers at Visual Arts Mississauga gain valuable workplace experience in a positive and supportive environment. Once a year, volunteers will receive a certificate of completion stating how many hours they worked and the nature of their volunteer position. Although priority is given to grade 11 and 12 students, grade 9 and 10 students will also be considered.
If you are interested in volunteering at Visual Arts Mississauga, complete and submit the following application.
