Spring has arrived at VAM!

The snow is melting rapidly and birds are singing merrily throughout the park. Spring is always an exciting time as the gray of winter gradates to green. This season at VAM we are pleased present a colourful offering to the community.
VAM Crashers are an exciting way to spend a few hours or a few days with us to experience an in-depth focus on a medium, genre or technique. Acclaimed artist Kal Honey will show you how to include Text in Art (April 18 and 19); dynamic Claudia McCabe will return to VAM to show us Faux Encaustics & Textures (May 3 – 5); and textile and visual artist Stephanie Schrim will introduce you to painting with wax and dyes on muslin (May 15 & 16) in Resist Painting.
Spring also brings us together for our Annual General Meeting – mark your calendars for Wednesday April 20, 2011 at 7 p.m. (4170 Riverwood Park Lane, Mississauga, ON, L5C 2S7). Packages have been sent by email as well as by Canada Post – if you have not received your package be sure to contact Administrative Services at 905-277-4313.
In July we will once again be participating in the Port Credit Art Show – drop by and see us July 15, 16 or 17. We will have our new Fall brochure available at that time and probably a surprise or two.
