VAM40 Juried Show of Fine Arts
Visual Arts Mississauga (VAM) welcomes emerging and established artists living and working in Ontario to apply to participate in our 40th Annual Juried Show of Fine Arts. The selected art works will be on display at the Art Gallery of Mississauga (AGM) from January 11, 2018 – February 10, 2018.

Sunday November 5, 2017, Midnight – deadline to submit completed entry form, bio, electronic image and fee.
Sunday January 7, 2018, 10 a.m. – noon – Drop off of selected artwork to the Art Gallery of Mississauga (AGM). We thank all applicants but only artists selected to exhibit in the 40th Annual Juried Show of Fine Arts will be contacted with specific guidelines for the drop off, condition reporting and admission to the show. Artists must make arrangements for their work to be dropped off on Sunday January 7 only. No exceptions.
Thursday January 11, 2018, 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. – Opening Reception & Awards at AGM.
Saturday January 20, 2018 12 p.m. – 4 p.m. Art Crit at the AGM.There is no fee to participate. Application required.
Sunday February 11, 2018, 10 a.m. – noon – Artists need to pick up or arrange to have their work picked up from AGM. Works left at the AGM after Sunday February 11, 2017 will be charged $10 per day (no exceptions). Large pieces must be picked up by this same deadline, any costs of delivery must be arranged at the cost of the artist.

Artist and curator Jessica Thalmann will discuss the importance of clear, accurate and striking documentation of artwork. Various technical and logistical issues will be broached while photographing artworks across all media. This workshop is ideal for artists and makers of all skill levels but must have some experience with a digital camera and tripod. Workshop will be followed by a Q&A.
